Requirements:
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, or repairing linear accelerators or similar high-complexity medical devices.
  • Proficiency in electro-mechanical systems, vacuum systems, and software/networking troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to travel 75–80% of the time, including multi-week stays at customer sites nationwide.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements (background checks, immunizations, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills to manage tools, parts, and documentation during installations.
  • Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead on-site installations of linear accelerators, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and timelines.
  • Perform commissioning and post-install testing to verify equipment functionality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute installations efficiently.
  • Provide customer training on operational protocols, safety procedures, and basic troubleshooting post-installation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installations, escalating complex problems as needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, equipment configurations, and customer handoffs.
  • Manage travel logistics and tools/equipment for extended on-site assignments.
  • Uphold strict safety standards and compliance with hospital/environmental regulations.
