Associate General Counsel - Product & Privacy

Requirements:

• 8+ years of legal experience in product counseling for consumer technology companies.
• Minimum of 3 years of in-house experience; a mix of law firm and in-house experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience advising software product managers and engineers on consumer protection and privacy matters.
• Strong understanding of international regulations related to hardware manufacturing and sale is strongly desired.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar.

Responsibilities:

• Advise engineering and product teams on legal and regulatory issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Provide counsel on privacy and data protection matters, ensuring compliance with global regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Advise on consumer protection, marketing, and advertising matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Support the design and delivery of innovative hardware and software solutions, addressing legal considerations specific to hardware manufacturing and sales globally.
• Monitor and provide guidance on evolving privacy, consumer protection, and technology regulations, helping Life360 stay ahead of regulatory trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies.
