Requirements:

• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or Kubernetes.
• Interest in infrastructure-as-code or DevOps tools.
• Capable of articulating complex ideas clearly, both within the team and to external stakeholders.
• A track record of collaborating on or leading open-source projects is a plus.
• Passionate about delivering developer-friendly solutions that solve real-world problems.
• Eagerness to explore new technologies, foster fresh perspectives, and help shape the next generation of developer tools.

Responsibilities:

• Inspire and coach a distributed group of engineers, setting clear goals and maintaining high standards for quality and impact.
• Oversee the design and development of Pulumi providers and higher-level libraries, ensuring they deliver value to both enterprise users and the open-source community.
• Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to define scope, set realistic timelines, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Promote open communication, knowledge sharing, and a culture of continuous improvement within the team and the broader community.
• Provide regular feedback, manage performance with empathy, and guide engineers through career milestones.
• Encourage community contributions and user feedback; actively represent the team’s work in open-source discussions and forums.
