Requirements:

• EU Citizenship is mandatory.
• Juris Doctorate or LLM, or like qualification.
• 7+ years of legal experience, with 5+ years in an in-house counsel role, preferably at a publicly traded company.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Prior experience in a multinational company or with cross-border legal issues.
• Experience managing corporate subsidiaries or acting as corporate secretary.
• Strong relationship-building skills across the organization.
• Effective communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Highly organized and proactive.
• Competence, ethics, humility, sense of humor, and teamwork experience.
• Experience with remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-Day Management of Oyster’s corporate governance program, including management of the entity management team.
• Day-to-day management of Oyster’s compliance program, including managing the risk and compliance teams.
• Provide legal advice that protects the company's interests.
• Develop and implement company policies.
• Responsible for SOC I/II and BCorp compliance efforts.
• Create and manage action plans in response to compliance violations.
• Identify legal risks and work to mitigate them.
• Evaluate legislative changes impacting the business.
• Incorporate compliance monitoring into business processes.
• Respond to regulatory and compliance requests.
