Senior Legal Counsel

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and eligible to practice law in the U.S.
• 4-7 years experience at a major law firm and/or large corporation in-house experience in technology or fintech.
• At least 2 years of experience in the Web3/blockchain/crypto industry.
• Strong legal drafting and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with colleagues.
• Ability to work well under pressure and anticipate upcoming needs.
• Customer service focus and collaboration with internal partners.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic, business-focused legal advice across a wide range of matters, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals while managing risk effectively.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Serve as a corporate generalist, handling diverse legal needs in areas such as corporate/commercial law, securities, intellectual property, employment, privacy, marketing, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee and provide transactional support, as well as manage external counsel on investment and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Lead negotiations for complex business development agreements and manage details of major deals.
• Serve as the primary legal advisor for fundraising efforts, ensuring compliance with U.S. securities laws and European regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and advise on evolving regulatory landscapes and their potential impact on the company’s strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, business-oriented legal solutions.
