Requirements:
  • Proven experience installing, configuring, and deploying IBM products (SMPE).
  • Extensive expertise in VSAM support and tuning, particularly in Record-Level Sharing (RLS).
  • Background in CICS installation and programming.
  • Experience with z/OS systems software installation (VM, MVS, JES2, VTAM, TCP/IP).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with an analytical approach.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support via email or phone to assist customers with H&W product installations, updates, configurations, and operations.
  • Diagnose technical issues and create effective solutions.
  • Participate in quality assurance testing to ensure product reliability.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to handle technical inquiries from prospective customers.
  • Prepare detailed technical and customer documentation for product enhancements and fixes.
  • Share knowledge with team members to strengthen the team's expertise.
  • Research and stay updated with emerging mainframe technologies for potential product integration.
