Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in IBM i, iSeries, AS/400 System Administration.
• Dynamic schedules; must be able to work nights/weekends (on-call rotation).
• Technical knowledge of i/OS versions, HMC, IBM Power Systems, firmware support, and related technologies.
• Effective communication skills, ability to coach others, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the remediation of server incidents including timely responses and thorough analysis.
• Oversee incident and request queues to ensure service levels are met.
• Perform deep analyses of incidents to reduce recurrence and conduct root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with various groups for system design and compatibility.
• Install and maintain operating systems patches and server environments.
