Requirements:
  • 6+ years of combined experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Software Engineering, and Cloud Engineering.
  • Robust knowledge of AWS, GCP, Terraform, Docker, Ansible, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kubernetes, and Linux.
  • Experience in building software systems as a software engineer.
  • Experience with tooling and automation using Bash, Python, and Golang.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation, preferably GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in relational databases, especially MySQL.
  • Experience with disaster recovery practices and incident management.
  • Good understanding of observability concepts like monitoring and logging.
  • Experience with the Javascript/Node.js ecosystem is a plus.
  • Ability to take ownership and act independently.
Responsibilities:
  • Enable engineering teams to deploy, maintain, and scale their services securely and resiliently.
  • Define and implement SLOs and related SLIs for Drata’s services.
  • Build, practice, and maintain devops culture for efficiency through automation.
  • Lead projects related to internal platforms and system reliability.
  • Identify and develop tools, processes, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Enforce deployment standards and best practices.
  • Participate in incident management and on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with SRE and Cloud Engineering teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Ensure high standards for code quality.
