Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-3 years of hands-on technical experience in designing and building applications and interfaces.
  • Exposure to various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Experience with relational database environments.
  • Preferred: Experience in Financial Services/Insurance IT organizations.
  • Preferred: Experience developing in .Net or Java.
  • Preferred: SQL Server and/or Oracle database experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools like Control M.
  • Preferred: Exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica.
Responsibilities:
  • Code, test, and document high-performing software solutions adhering to F&G’s development methodologies and security requirements.
  • Perform various tests to validate code for production readiness.
  • Collaborate with the Security team for application security remediation.
  • Conduct impact analysis for system changes affecting applications.
  • Assist in project and maintenance work estimations.
  • Support custom and third-party solutions and integrations.
  • Monitor applications and provide on-call support.
  • Assist in implementing architecture and solutions.
  • Develop code for current and future deployments.
  • Work with teammates and business partners to create technical, reusable solutions.
  • Learn new tools, resources, and processes.
  • Develop operational and analytical reports and dashboards.
