Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience selling/supporting/consulting within the DevOps, cloud cost or cloud management space.
  • A Bachelor's in Computer Science or Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, supporting SaaS and/or software sales in the DevOps or Cost Optimization market.
  • Ability to empathize with customers and rapidly identify opportunities.
  • Presentation skills via various means including meetings, demonstrations, workshops, etc.
  • Some software development and scripting experience (regex, python, SQL, etc.) and comfort with system command-line.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic understanding of cloud architecture.
  • Self-directed and resourceful in a high-performing organization.
  • Willingness to travel for events and customer meetings.
Responsibilities:
  • Proactively evangelize the benefits and capabilities of CloudZero's Cost Intelligence and Profit Optimization platform.
  • Work as part of the high-performing CloudZero sales team throughout opportunity lifecycles, from qualification to technical win.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
  • Assess customer needs and environments, identify influencers and decision-makers.
  • Provide expertise regarding FinOps best practices and building a FinOps culture.
  • Build technical champions at potential customers.
  • Help guide product direction and contribute to CloudZero's research and product roadmap.
  • Develop personal skills and distinguish oneself as a FinOps professional.

  • Uncover the customer’s desired business outcomes and orient all activities in the sales process to these outcomes.
  • Deliver powerful demos driven by use cases and customer stories.
  • Support deal progression and POVs as needed via in-person or remote meetings.
  • Author blog posts, white papers and other thought leading pieces on behalf of Illumio for the security industry.
  • Assist partners in their enablement pursuits and on deals to maximize mutual benefit.
