Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with a background in labor law and preferably completed that specialization.
- Possess two German state examinations with a satisfying grade.
- Have a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in labor law.
- Experience working with works councils and negotiating collective agreements.
- Successfully managed complex labor law issues and disputes.
- Strong knowledge of German labor law.
- Enjoy training and coaching others.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication skills to explain complex legal topics in clear language.
- Several years of experience in the legal department of an international company or law firm.
- Fluent in German and English.
Responsibilities:
- Offer expert legal counsel to HRBPs and leaders on various labor law questions.
- Ensure compliance with individual and collective labor law provisions.
- Coach leaders in managing personnel-related challenges.
- Represent the company in labor law disputes.
- Prepare materials for information and consultation processes with the works council.
- Develop strong partnerships with department leaders and HR staff.
- Formulate and implement training strategies for HR staff and leaders.
- Draft and review legal documents such as employment contracts and policies.
- Stay informed of developments in German labor law and ensure proactive compliance.
