Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with a background in labor law and preferably completed that specialization.
• Possess two German state examinations with a satisfying grade.
• Have a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in labor law.
• Experience working with works councils and negotiating collective agreements.
• Successfully managed complex labor law issues and disputes.
• Strong knowledge of German labor law.
• Enjoy training and coaching others.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication skills to explain complex legal topics in clear language.
• Several years of experience in the legal department of an international company or law firm.
• Fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities:

• Offer expert legal counsel to HRBPs and leaders on various labor law questions.
• Ensure compliance with individual and collective labor law provisions.
• Coach leaders in managing personnel-related challenges.
• Represent the company in labor law disputes.
• Prepare materials for information and consultation processes with the works council.
• Develop strong partnerships with department leaders and HR staff.
• Formulate and implement training strategies for HR staff and leaders.
• Draft and review legal documents such as employment contracts and policies.
• Stay informed of developments in German labor law and ensure proactive compliance.
