Requirements:

• A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• 3-7 years of experience in building technical developer documentation in technology companies.
• Sound knowledge of version control tools like Git and software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools.
• Comfortable with IDEs such as VSCode and APIs.
• Ability to read and understand code in any one language.
• Familiarity with tools like Google to translate code into other languages.
• Experience with Markdown.
• Impeccable writing and editing skills.

Responsibilities:

• Build high-quality technical content in easy-to-understand plain language to improve BrowserStack documentation.
• Create templates for other writers to leverage.
• Contribute to setting processes and building the style guide.
• Independently own the documentation roadmap for assigned BrowserStack products.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Design, and Engineering teams to develop product documentation.
• Understand products by trying and simulating user behavior.
• Set up IDEs and debug code.
• Translate code snippets between programming languages.
• Peer review other writers’ work.
