Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, political science or related field.
• At least five years of experience as a reporter or editor, preferably in a digital media environment.
• Strong knowledge of US politics and the major issues affecting the country.
• Excellent news judgment and editing skills, with an eye for detail, accuracy and clarity.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, assign and edit stories across news, politics, international news, entertainment news, and trends.
• Monitor news sources and social media for breaking news and emerging trends.
• Coordinate with reporters, editors, and multimedia producers to ensure timely and comprehensive coverage.
• Write headlines, captions and summaries that capture the essence and impact of the stories.
• Ensure that all stories adhere to editorial standards and guidelines.
