Requirements:

• Experience with Ruby on Rails and understanding of other languages like JavaScript, C#, Python, Go.
• Deep understanding and experience designing and building systems with OOP languages.
• Experience building APIs from the ground up (REST, GraphQL).
• Deployment and operational experience using AWS or Heroku.
• Belief in SOLID principles, automated testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
• Confidently architect features and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities:

• Write expert code that is easy and clear to make products available to customers.
• Advocate for delivering solutions to their intended scale and offer clear pathways for improvements.
• Deliver and author runbooks and operational excellence practices.
• Execute post-incident investigations for team practice improvements.
• Implement metrics and dashboards for high-resolution observability.
• Engage in discussions with the Product team about system complexity vs. customer impact.
• Plan projects ensuring team success 3-6 months out.
