Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience with highly-scaled internet/mobile application environments, including 1 year in a SOC or NOC.
  • Ability to quickly acknowledge and address alerts to maintain team SLAs.
  • Knowledge in Incident and Problem Management, ITSM tools like Jira, Zendesk, Confluence.
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux and a desire to learn more technologies.
  • Familiarity with tools for site, infrastructure, and application monitoring such as AWS Cloudwatch, Datadog, Splunk, CloudFlare.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with technical curiosity and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Bachelor's in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • AWS CCP Certification desired; ITIL Foundation is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide first response and tier 1 support for OfferUp’s critical services utilizing alerting and proactive monitoring.
  • Active monitoring, response, and fulfillment of our Incident, Change, and Service Request queues.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams; coordinate incident response when service impacts occur.
  • Improve customer experience by participating in post-mortem reviews and contributing to service monitoring and alerting enhancements.
  • NOC operates 24x7, requiring staff to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and services.
