Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience as a medical science liaison.
  • Experience in pediatric endocrinology, endocrinology, or rare diseases preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate scientific and clinical information effectively.
  • Must appreciate interacting with healthcare providers and researchers.
  • Ability to work autonomously and organize own work schedule.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the field-based external facing medical representation of Medical Affairs.
  • Create awareness of Ascendis Pharma in the endocrinology community and communicate the potential of TransCon technology.
  • Maintain high level of medical expertise to support the portfolio/pipeline and relevant disease states.
  • Provide medical/scientific presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) and key organizations relevant to disease states.
  • Develop and maintain a KOL engagement plan for collaborative relationships.
  • Capture external insights about the disease state and communicate to internal stakeholders.
  • Build strong internal relationships by providing medical expertise and support.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Field Medical Team strategic goals.
  • Provide scientific support at medical congresses and during internal or external meetings.
  • Document all relevant activities in the CRM platform and ensure compliance with policies.
