Requirements:

• Commercial experience developing complex, distributed applications writing services in Java.
• Disciplined coding practices with experience in code reviews and pull requests.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
• Desire to understand the exact problem before starting to write code.
• Experience with protocol buffers is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing a scalable backend solution that enables rapid experimentation and new features.
• Owning the full lifecycle of features, from design docs and stakeholder alignment through implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Collaborating with designers and product managers to define and scope new features, functionality, and technical requirements.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the team’s domain as and when they arise.
• Staying updated on industry trends and best practices to innovate and improve the domain owned by the team.
