• 8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, compliance, or related fields.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to cryptocurrency, fintech, or financial services.
• Experience in supporting risk assessments, internal audits, or GRC initiatives is a plus.
• Understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and governance tools.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and its implications for data management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the creation and execution of data governance frameworks, policies, and processes aligned with Gemini’s business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and update the organization’s business glossary and data dictionary.
• Lead the development of data quality standards and validation processes.
• Collaborate with the GRC team on compliance strategies.
• Contribute to audits and reports to validate compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Support risk assessments to identify and mitigate data-related issues.
• Collaborate with audit teams for data-related audits.
• Participate in cross-functional risk mitigation projects.
• Work with Data, Security, and Product teams to incorporate data governance into processes.
• Ensure compliance requirements are integrated into new product features.
• Help develop training programs on data governance.
• Promote a culture of data stewardship.
