Senior DevOps Engineer I

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps or Systems Administration.
• 4+ years of experience using Kubernetes or similar microservice architecture.
• 4+ years of experience working in an Azure environment.
• Experience working in an agile environment and knowledge of agile practices.
• Jira experience with project management and story creation is a plus.
• Knowledge of IaC best practices and experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD systems preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of networking and routing protocols especially those involved in Service Mesh architectures.
• Must be able to work in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities:

• Work within an infrastructure capable of handling billions of dollars in transactions quickly and securely.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and deploy integrated solutions for Fortune 100 companies.
• Develop automated upgrade systems for a constantly evolving Azure architecture.
• Maintain a complex event sourcing environment using CQRS principles.
• Design tooling to enable quick engineering turnaround using technologies like AWX, Terraform, Env0, and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Monitor for service health and create automatic recoveries using metrics-based canaries to ensure reliable code deployment.
