Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a corporate accounting environment.
• Experience managing teams of 4+ people.
• Experience with Broker Dealer or SEC Reporting preferred.
• Public Accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with Netsuite is a plus.
• Leadership skills to develop and implement strategies for employee performance.
• Problem-solving abilities to analyze issues and develop appropriate solutions.
• Planning and organizing skills to prioritize and efficiently manage work activities.
• Attention to detail ensuring quality control of work products.
• Effective communication skills, creating polished documents and presenting data.
• Results-oriented mindset to ensure high quality of deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting operations of all corporate entities including control systems and transaction-processing operations.
• Lead accounting team members, providing subject matter expertise and coordinating special projects.
• Oversee all financial reporting processes including account reconciliations and overall maintenance of accounting records.
• Review and approve all general ledger entries and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• Maintain proper internal controls and drive process documentation and enhancement reviews.
• Oversee broker-dealer financial regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with government reporting requirements.
• Assist with quarterly board packages and management reporting.
• Drive efficiencies across accounting functions, onboard new systems, and redesign processes.
• Lead annual financial and regulatory audits, coordinating with auditors and preparing necessary documentation.
