Senior Accounting Specialist (fka Bookkeeper)

Requirements:

• Associates degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in accounting roles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• QBO ProAdvisor certification required or willingness to obtain it in the first 3 months.
• Experience with Xero is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities:

• Tackle neglected or incorrect financials with precision and flair.
• Rebuild charts of accounts and address historical inaccuracies.
• Manage full-cycle AP/AR and progress billing.
• Ensure clients' books are up-to-date through masterful transaction management and reconciliations.
• Support advanced functions like job costing and inventory tracking.
• Act as a liaison for client questions, explaining complex financial concepts clearly.
• Collaborate and mentor team members to foster a supportive work environment.
