Requirements:

• 12 years or more of experience in civil engineering design, especially in transportation projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of various state standards and specifications.
• Client contacts with local authorities and resource agencies are desirable.
• Familiarity with writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary interface with Parsons’ Project Manager and discipline leads.
• Supervise all engineering and design activities on conventional and design/build projects.
• Lead a team while building and managing relationships with key clients.
• Focus on road & highway projects, possibly rail & transit with bridge interfaces.
• Demonstrate design expertise, mentor engineers, and manage projects profitably.
• Ensure adequate technical deliverables, quality, and timeliness of work.
• Provide project-related updates to agency staff.
