Sr. Technical Accountant

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in public accounting or at a public company.
• Knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and SOX practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the evaluation of the accounting treatment for significant transactions.
• Review contracts to identify technical accounting matters and prepare analysis.
• Prepare financial information and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Assist in the external audit and review process by providing audit support.
• Prepare balance sheet analysis, record journal entries, and reconcile technical financial statement line items.
• Review financial data for accuracy, support day-to-day operations, and research discrepancies.
• Work closely with project teams for technical guidance.
• Assist with compliance for Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 key controls.
• Proactively implement operational accounting efficiencies and control enhancements.
• Complete other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
