Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in or equivalent work experience in a legal setting.
- Minimum 2+ years experience as a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary.
- Background in Immigration Law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Clio Manage & Grow is a plus.
- Experience working with any interpreter is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Client Intake - follow up with potential or current clients; Gathering basic information from a checklist or questionnaire.
- Acknowledge and respond to direct emails from attorney.
- Proactively schedule weekly case status meetings with each attorney.
- Understand how to prioritize workflow to convey urgency to other attorneys.
- Calendar all due dates as documents are received, setting reminders and follow ups.
