Requirements:
- Advanced degree in nuclear engineering, energy policy, environmental science, physics, or related field focused on nuclear safety or fusion technologies.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in nuclear safety, regulation, or fusion energy.
- Track record of producing high-impact policy documents related to nuclear or fusion energy.
- Experience engaging with regulators and industry leaders.
- Strong communication skills to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive in developing innovative strategies for emerging trends in fusion energy.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee CATF’s international working group on fusion safety.
- Supervise contributions of four consultants.
- Represent CATF in official forums and international meetings.
- Monitor NRC initiatives and regulatory relevant events.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of critical outputs.
- Facilitate communication with industry leaders and policymakers.
- Foster partnerships to advance harmonized safety frameworks.
