Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of college, relevant coursework.
• Must be a full-time student who has completed their freshman year.
• Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on a 4.0 scale).
• Plan to continue education in the following term/semester.
• Interns may need to provide documentation of their participation in an intern program.
• Must have writing experience outside of the classroom (e.g., creative blogging, school newspaper).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Help maintain social media content and engagement for ACS CAN president’s social pages and other leadership team members.
• Research and draft content and graphics for social media.
• Schedule approved posts on Twitter and LinkedIn.
• Identify and engage with key reporters, lawmakers, influencers, and creators on social media.
• Support engagement with ACS CAN state social media pages and archive relevant content.
• Analyze performance and growth metrics and participate in larger social media brainstorms.
• Support drafting of talking points, letters, and other communications for leadership.
• Conduct research, pull data, and draft copy.
• Review and update Wikipedia profiles for key leaders.
• Create a project related to executive communications and social media to be completed by the end of the internship.
