Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software/data engineering and leadership.
• 2+ years of management experience managing cross-functional projects.
• Experience creating an effective and inclusive team culture.
• Experience building data science platforms including data engineering pipelines.
• 3+ years in gathering requirements and understanding user goals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical teams.
• Experience with data science platforms and orchestration tools.
• Experience with cloud data storage solutions.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 2-4 data engineers.
• Drive the evolution of Valo’s data platform ensuring robustness, scalability, and data governance.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to enhance computational infrastructure.
• Encourage processes and technology for operational scalability.
• Promote consistent data usage patterns for data scientists.
• Guide data engineers in building and maintaining data pipelines.
