Requirements:

• JD degree is required.
• 3+ years of experience as a labor and employment attorney; in-house experience is a plus.
• Member of California Bar or eligible for Registered In-House Counsel.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Texas and California employment laws preferred.
• Proven ability to represent an organization in legal proceedings.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with HR to provide guidance on employment matters.
• Function as frontline counsel for legal and personnel issues.
• Advise on HR matters including discipline, investigations, and complaints.
• Manage and advise on HR-related disputes.
• Represent Natera in court, mediation, and arbitration.
• Respond to legal complaints and coordinate strategies with counsel.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.
• Develop and update policies and employee handbooks.
• Conduct training on labor relations compliance.
• Minimize legal costs by managing issues in-house.
