Director, Communications

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in corporate communications and/or media relations for a global brand.
• Expertise in managing international markets, preferably for a high-profile public technology company.
• Proven record of pitching and securing strategic media coverage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing agencies and creating scalable processes.
• Experience in scenario planning and crisis communications.
• Ability to translate marketing objectives into communications strategies and plans.
• Experience in B2B and B2C communications is preferable.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the International Communications function.
• Engage directly with executives on major announcements and thought leadership initiatives.
• Build the international presence leveraging strategic communications.
• Own Affirm’s storytelling efforts in international markets working with global, regional and local press.
• Work closely with Affirm’s Revenue team to support and amplify key business achievements and events.
• Develop communications strategy and processes, including crisis and issues management.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with business press, consumer media, and key stakeholders.
