Requirements:
  • You have experience in ex vivo systems, particularly with advanced cultures like human cardiomyocytes and precision-cut lung slices.
  • You possess expertise in mammalian cell culture and complex protocols, such as iPSC culture, slice cultures, and organoids.
  • You are proficient in assay development, including RT-qPCR, cryosectioning, ELISAs, Western blotting, and histology.
  • You have experience managing and collaborating on time-sensitive projects, guiding junior scientists, and improving throughput across departments.
  • Experience in industry and familiarity with Lentiviruses/AAVs are pluses.
Responsibilities:
  • Your primary mission will be to design, execute, and optimize ex vivo experiments that validate key targets from the screening platform.
  • You will work with therapeutic leads across pulmonary fibrosis, heart failure, and MASH programs to set up and refine complex human tissue models.
  • Your focus includes early validation or elimination of therapeutic targets and developing assays to evaluate safety, efficacy, and mechanisms of action.
  • You will collaborate with disease biology heads to enhance workflow processes, establish SOPs, and streamline data-driven decision-making.
  • You will manage experimental schedules and develop in vivo and ex vivo assays, ensuring validation or elimination of hits happens as early as possible.
