Requirements:
  • 8-10+ years in the gaming industry, with at least 3-5 years in a director-level or similar leadership role.
  • Proven experience in AA and AAA game development, with a portfolio of shipped titles demonstrating creative leadership.
  • Deep understanding of game design principles, storytelling, and player psychology.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee complex, multi-year projects within budget and scope constraints.
  • Proficiency in game development tools, such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary engines.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and uphold the creative vision of the game, ensuring alignment with company objectives and the intended audience.
  • Lead creative ideation and decision-making processes, establishing a unique and innovative gameplay experience.
  • Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring a high standard of quality and alignment with AA/AAA expectations.
  • Coordinate across disciplines (art, design, programming, audio, etc.) to maintain consistency and cohesiveness in all aspects of the game.
  • Lead internal and external teams, managing co-development partners as needed for seamless collaboration.
  • Champion the player experience by driving gameplay mechanics, systems design, and narrative integration that resonate with the target audience.
  • Conduct regular reviews and playtests, gathering feedback to iterate and improve the game’s quality.
  • Work closely with executive teams to communicate the game’s direction, progress, and risks, adapting to feedback to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and creative environment where ideas thrive.
  • Serve as the key point of contact between development teams and senior management, ensuring transparent communication and efficient problem-solving.
