CG Senior FX Artist

Requirements:

• 3+ years of industry experience working in a studio environment on an episodic show.
• Strong knowledge of Houdini Dynamic tools.
• Good understanding of physical dynamics and natural phenomena.
• Self-driven, excellent communicator, and effective team player.
• Strong technical skills within a show structure.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve.
• Experience rendering with Mantra.
• Basic knowledge of Nuke is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Renderman and/or Katana is an asset.
• Currently legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Design and animate effects utilizing Houdini for elements like smoke, clouds, fire, lava, and water.
• Take direction from FX Supervisor and FX TDs.
• Collaborate with DFX supervisor, lighting team, and CG Supervisor.
• Produce look tests based on provided concepts.
• Work within show structure and production deadlines to complete tasks.
• Meet deadlines as assigned by production management.
• Work closely with FX Supervisors to achieve deliverables and optimize workflow efficiency.
