Requirements:

• Knowledge of Houdini Dynamic tools.
• Understanding of physical dynamics and natural phenomena.
• Self-driven with good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Strong technical skills within a show structure.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve.
• Experience rendering with Mantra.
• Prior experience in the CG animation industry is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Nuke, Renderman, and/or Katana is an asset.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Design and animate effects utilizing Houdini for smoke, clouds, fire, lava, and water.
• Take direction from FX Supervisor, Leads, and FX TDs.
• Collaborate with DFX supervisor, lighting team, and CG Supervisor for technical and creative solutions.
• Produce look tests based on provided concepts.
• Complete tasks within show structure and tight production deadlines.
