Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Administrator of heavily-loaded PostgreSQL databases.
• Good understanding and experience in C programming.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn Go programming.
• Familiarity with automation tools, particularly Ansible.
• Strong research skills.
• Experience with distributed environments.

Responsibilities:

• Improve and optimize the database architecture and processes.
• Troubleshoot PostgreSQL issues and propose/implement fixes.
• Advise development teams on database best practices.
• Setup and tune PostgreSQL in high transaction rate environments.
• Build and maintain custom PostgreSQL extensions using C, SQL, PL/pgsql.
• Maintain and develop data pipelines or support other teams in doing so.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, monitor operations, and manage incidents.
• Write queries and optimize existing ones.
