Bachelor's or advanced degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Wildlife Biology, Environmental Management, Environmental Law, or related fields; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of professional working knowledge of regulations related to aquatic resources and renewable energy development.
Proven success in obtaining Clean Water Act Nationwide and Individual Permits with corresponding NEPA documents.
Experience with wetland and stream delineations as well as species surveys.
Familiarity with NHPA/SHPO and ESA permit processes, with BGEPA permitting as a plus.
Responsibilities:
Act as a subject matter expert on aquatic resources and other sensitive resources.
Manage complex permitting issues on projects with a focus on Clean Water Act compliance.
Oversee environmental compliance and permit strategy for renewable energy projects.
Direct work of consultants and manage scopes of work, schedules, and budgets.
Review and maintain environmental reports and GIS data.
Complete permit applications and represent Apex before regulatory agencies.
