Requirements:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• 5 years of clinical research and/or basic science research experience.
• 5 years of managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams.
• Preferred qualifications include an MD or PhD with clinical training in metabolic diseases and 5 years of experience in clinical trials/drug development.

Responsibilities:

• Provide scientific and medical direction for pre-clinical and early clinical programs in the Obesity therapeutic area.
• Oversee early phase clinical development from first-in-man studies through proof of concept.
• Develop strategies to support the Obesity pipeline within Early Development.
• Mentor Medical Directors and Early Development Leaders on study design and execution.
• Collaborate with other functions such as Research, Precision Medicine, and Global Development.
