Requirements:

• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
• All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
• Must be aged 21 or over.
• Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting, Community Interpreting, or any other interpreting-related qualifications.
• NRPSI, CIOL, or ITI registration is advantageous.
• A degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting between English and Mandarin over the phone or video.
• Providing interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpreting for clients using legal, health, and local government services.
• Checking understanding of non-English speakers after each sentence.
• Performing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
