Must be aged 21 or over.
Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or registration with NRPSI, CIOL, or ITI are advantageous.
Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages or any other interpreting-related qualification.
Responsibilities:
Interpreting between English and Assyrian over the phone or video.
Providing interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services.
Checking non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence.
Performing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
Ensuring accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services.
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
