Requirements:
  • Commercial experience programming in React (ideally React Native) and at least one other language (e.g., Python, Java, .Net, Go, C#)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Understanding of modern software patterns and methodologies such as Twelve-Factor, Progressive Apps, Single Page Apps
  • Experience writing queries against common databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Comfortable developing with Docker
  • Experience with unit testing, CI/CD, and TDD best practices using frameworks like Mocha, Jest, Jasmine
  • Experience building, consuming, and integrating with REST APIs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
  • Full development cycle from refining customer requirements through to production release
  • Designing software to high standards utilizing various Google Cloud PaaS and SaaS offerings
  • Leading delivery and mentoring fellow team members to deliver discrete aspects of complex solutions
  • Working with fellow Engineers to translate customer requirements into technical designs and follow this through to delivery
  • Proactive involvement in social progress and community projects
