Requirements:

• 7-9+ years of experience in a related legal field.
• Juris Doctor degree.
• Admission to the California Bar.
• Licensure in good standing with ongoing licensing requirements.
• Ability to travel for trials, hearings, and conferences.
• Strong written communication skills for documenting files.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts.
• Strong organization, priority setting, and multi-tasking skills.
• Capacity to learn and apply substantial technical and procedural information.

Responsibilities:

• Researching laws and preparing legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
• Rendering opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department.
• Preparing and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions before trial and examinations under oath.
• Defending all assigned matters at trial or dispositive hearings as applicable.
