Requirements:

• 2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance, defense, and/or personal injury.
• Juris Doctor degree is required.
• Must be admitted to the Texas Bar and in good standing.
• Strong written documentation skills to communicate professionally.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Willingness to travel for trials, hearings, and meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Defend lawsuits filed in Texas courts.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
• Render opinions on liability, damages, and value for the Claims Department.
• Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Participate in depositions/examinations before trial and defend matters by trial or dispositive hearing.
