Requirements:

Provide payroll consulting to various small to midsize companies, focusing on wage, hour laws, and payroll compliance in Oregon and Washington.
Research payroll legislation changes and advise on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Proficient in multiple technology platforms including Gusto, Paychex, ADP, and/or Paylocity, with advanced QuickBooks Online experience.
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a related field is typically required.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the payroll expert on the Client Accounting Services team.
Perform light bookkeeping tasks initially at a 60% payroll and 40% bookkeeping rate, shifting to 80% payroll and 20% bookkeeping.
Engage in heavy client communication to address payroll questions and improve processes.
Provide payroll software support including client onboarding, training, and troubleshooting.
Stay updated on payroll legislation changes and advise clients on compliance issues.
