Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of regulatory compliance experience at a bank, mortgage lending company or financial services company
  • Deep knowledge of HMDA/Reg C and prior experience with HMDA software and LAR preparation
  • Working knowledge of consumer protection laws such as TILA/Regulation Z, RESPA, Regulation X, ECOA/Reg B, FCRA, FACTA, UDAAP, and GLBA
  • Knowledge of the CFPB Small Business Lending Rule under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B)
  • Ability to effectively communicate regulatory requirements to various business units
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while remaining organized and detail-oriented
  • Preferred proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee regular collection and reporting of HMDA data collected during the loan application process
  • Utilize HMDA software to identify potential errors and work cross-functionally to correct and reconcile errors for report accuracy
  • Prepare Figure’s HMDA LAR for final submission and sample/test for accuracy in accordance with Regulation C
  • Analyze the existing HMDA program and identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports
  • Manage fair lending compliance program; conduct analyses and report findings
  • Support vendor management program; due diligence, performance monitoring, and dispute resolution
  • Stay updated on changing regulatory requirements
  • Conduct compliance testing for federal and state regulations
  • Track identified issues and corrective action plans
  • Participate in annual risk assessment for applicable laws
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations on product updates and changes
