Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of regulatory compliance experience at a bank, mortgage lending company or financial services company
- Deep knowledge of HMDA/Reg C and prior experience with HMDA software and LAR preparation
- Working knowledge of consumer protection laws such as TILA/Regulation Z, RESPA, Regulation X, ECOA/Reg B, FCRA, FACTA, UDAAP, and GLBA
- Knowledge of the CFPB Small Business Lending Rule under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B)
- Ability to effectively communicate regulatory requirements to various business units
- Ability to manage multiple projects while remaining organized and detail-oriented
- Preferred proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
- Oversee regular collection and reporting of HMDA data collected during the loan application process
- Utilize HMDA software to identify potential errors and work cross-functionally to correct and reconcile errors for report accuracy
- Prepare Figure’s HMDA LAR for final submission and sample/test for accuracy in accordance with Regulation C
- Analyze the existing HMDA program and identify improvement opportunities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports
- Manage fair lending compliance program; conduct analyses and report findings
- Support vendor management program; due diligence, performance monitoring, and dispute resolution
- Stay updated on changing regulatory requirements
- Conduct compliance testing for federal and state regulations
- Track identified issues and corrective action plans
- Participate in annual risk assessment for applicable laws
- Collaborate with Product and Operations on product updates and changes
