Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions and preparing civil pleadings.
• Solid knowledge of tort, contract, and insurance law.
• Admission to the Missouri State Bar is required; admission to the Illinois Bar is preferred.
• Demonstrated litigation experience and understanding of Professional Responsibility for the jurisdiction.

Responsibilities:

• Handle litigation involving either the corporation and/or its insured within established corporate guidelines.
• Manage files and issues with higher levels of complexity and dollar exposure requiring less oversight.
• Communicate with clients regarding case status and analyze risk as litigation progresses.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs to advance litigation activities.
• Advocate client's position in state and federal court, administrative tribunals, and other forums.
• Negotiate issues for resolution and stay current on relevant statutes and court decisions.
