• 15+ years of external relationship management with nonprofit groups.
• 10+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• 6+ years of direct patient advocacy experience.
• Experience building relationships with external organizations.
• Strong understanding of market tactics and interventions.
• Ability to identify and address challenges innovatively.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally.
• Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Track record of leading advocacy strategies and campaigns.
• Strong critical thinking and project management skills.
• Solid knowledge of the healthcare landscape.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong understanding of compliance with HCP interactions.
• Flexible travel based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a Patient Advocacy and Professional Society Relations plan with various departments.
• Drive global patient advocacy strategies across asset development stages.
• Build and maintain relationships with advocacy groups and organizations.
• Execute Patient Advisory Boards and events to understand community needs.
• Oversee patient advocacy events and engage employees to champion patient voices.
• Represent Annexon at advocacy forums and meetings.
• Incorporate best practices and stay current on advocacy developments.
• Ensure compliant communication with stakeholders.
• Generate insights into patient and caregiver needs.
• Seek partnerships and manage collaboration in compliance.
