Requirements:

• Experience reporting and writing (school publications are great).
• A passion for digital storytelling, service journalism, and voracious reading habits.
• Time management skills and the ability to work quickly and collaboratively with a fast-paced team.
• Proofreading and copyediting skills and familiarity with Associate Press Stylebook.
• A working knowledge of SEO, CMS systems, and digital and social media.
• A love of Business Insider and our mission to serve readers with accurate, fair, fast, and fun information.
• A passion for home and sleep products.
• Ability to test sleep products in your home and coordinate large deliveries.
• Ability to distill expert information understandably.
• Interest in leveraging data to support coverage and decisions.
• Critical eye and a methodical approach.
• Meticulous organization skills.
• Ability to take clear and original photos; basic experience with Adobe Photoshop or Canva.

Responsibilities:

• See a guide from inception to publishing: including pitching, research, developing a testing methodology, requesting product, testing, taking photos, contacting category experts, writing, production, and proofreading.
• Assist with guide updates, including checking product inventory, links, SEO and data recommendations, and identifying new products to test.
• Call in and coordinate delivery of review samples and log deliveries.
• Stay on top of new product launches and news relevant to beat.
• Be available for major deal events, such as Amazon Prime Day.
