Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of five years of general ledger accounting experience.
  • Minimum of three years of nonprofit accounting experience; nonprofit certification preferred.
  • Active CPA is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP.
  • Experience in audit preparation and management.
  • Experience delivering accounting training.
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and multiple Accounting Software platforms.
  • Successful history of remote work.
  • Two or more years of nonprofit audit experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Review all monthly workpapers for ongoing services clients for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Review audit workpapers for compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Track completeness and timeliness of reviews and report to the Quality Control & Learning Manager.
  • Develop reusable curriculum and provide in-house training.
  • Maintain working knowledge of current GAAP and new standards.
  • Serve as the internal SME on technical accounting.
