Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and in good standing to practice law in a US state bar.
• 5+ years of relevant law firm experience, preferably with additional in-house experience in a high-growth fintech.
• Strong focus on client-service excellence with proactivity, responsiveness, adaptability, and teamwork.
• Ability to develop solutions to complex legal issues while considering business objectives.
• Outstanding organizational skills for handling multiple projects and prioritizing deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starter who works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated humility, integrity, and a desire to contribute to a supportive team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pragmatic advice and guidance on privacy and security matters in the U.S. and Canada.
• Maintain and elevate Affirm's privacy policies, playbooks, and processes to support global scaling.
• Collaborate across teams to drive a global data protection program and governance structure that complies with laws and regulations.
• Integrate privacy into the design of new products, features, and business initiatives.
• Work with commercial and vendor legal teams to incorporate data protection provisions into agreements.
