Requirements:

MS/MA (or higher) with eight (8) or more years of work experience, or Bachelor's degree and 10 years of work experience, or 15+ years equivalent relevant work experience.
Established connections with U.S. agricultural industry, U.S. Department of Labor, and worker advocacy organizations.
Experience working in northern Central America and the United States on labor mobility.
Experience with foreign governments, International Development Agencies, International Financial Institutions, and Civil Society.
Ability to communicate effectively with senior representatives from public and private sectors.
Ability to travel as required.
Language Proficiency: English (IV) & Spanish (III).

Responsibilities:

Develop a strategic approach to engage U.S. private sector in hiring temporary workers from northern Central America.
Identify and develop guides for improving stakeholder management within labor mobility units in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
Implement good practices for ethical recruitment and processing of eligible workers.
Coordinate public and private engagements to increase awareness of workforce availability.
Develop and maintain a network of contacts among industry representatives and NGOs.
Attend and organize events to connect northern Central American workers with U.S. employers.
