Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as an Armenian interpreter with exposure to medical, community, and legal interpreting.
• Proficiency in both English and Armenian.
• Certification in interpreting from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and efficient Armenian interpretation services across various settings, including medical, community, and legal contexts.
• Facilitate communication between non-Armenian speaking staff and Armenian-speaking children, ensuring mutual understanding.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
• Assist with the translation of written materials as needed.
• Promote awareness among staff about best practices when working with interpreters.
• Be sensitive to cultural differences and provide culturally appropriate services.
• Assist with scheduling, coordination, and other administrative tasks as required.
